My Vision For A Better SEMA:
Below are three pressing challenges to the SEMA membership that I will address if elected as the next Chairman of the Board.
- Strengthen SEMA To Meet Legislative Challenges
Increase SEMA presence at the state & federal level to protect our industry against “Cash For Clunkers”, “Closed Hood”, California Titling and EPA actions. There’s not a more important challenge that we face as an organization in the months ahead.
- Increase Benefits To SEMA Membership
Create effective two-way communication with SEMA members to develop new & valuable member benefits/programs. Potential programs include addressing member profitability, small company health care, assistance with E.O. process and increased technology planning.
- Shape Current SEMA Programs For Increased Effectiveness
Grow current SEMA programs, such as the market research initiative and OEM technology transfer, for increased “real world” usability to all members. Make technology transfer a model for a new consortium of OEMs, universities, SEMA member companies and Tier 1 and 2 manufacturers working to ensure future products will interface with new vehicles.
